Your Baby's First Adjustment: A Gift That Lasts a Lifetime
With the arrival of many babies in the office, we wanted to take some time to highlight the importance of getting newborns adjusted. Not only is it one of the highlights of our job, it’s also extremely beneficial to setting the tone for health for that little one as well.
From a health perspective, the birth process is one of the most traumatic physical events that we go through in our lives. The amount of force that it takes to be brought into this world is mind blowing. According to the journal of the American Osteopathic Association it has been found that subluxation was found in 99 out of every 100 births. This is why we encourage every pregnant mom that receives care during their pregnancy to bring their baby in when they feel comfortable to get them checked. In addition, we are passionate about sharing the benefits of care for babies, so that more families can be informed about early care for their babies and kiddos.
What we do in the early stages of life can set the tone for our children for the rest of their lives. Helping support the health of our little ones is crucial to long term success. The main things that newborns should be doing is eating, sleeping, and pooping. If even one of those things is not functioning well it can be a sign of subluxation. If that subluxation persists, we can see those early subluxations turn into colic, ear infections, reflux and so much more.
Kids rarely “grow out” of symptoms, they usually turn into more serious health concerns later on if left untreated. Staying on top of these things and continuing to increase the functionality of that child’s nervous system could be one of the greatest gifts that child receives.
Through the utilization of our technology we can determine whether a child is suffering from miscommunication in their nervous system and help to work towards true correction and true health. To all the families that trust us to take care of them, we extended our sincerest thank you as it is not a responsibility we take lightly!
