How to Handle Holiday Stress Better This Year

‘Tis the season we start to think about and create the seemingly never-ending to-do list before our families gather. Whether it’s making sure we have finished our present list and checked it twice, getting all the groceries gathered for the never-ending meals, or trying everything in our might to figure out how we keep that dreaded cold, cough or flu away. The stress can be insurmountable. This is why we are constantly talking about taking layers of stress off your nervous system.

One analogy that we like to share is the “stress threshold”. This is what neurologically based chiropractic care has been building since your first adjustment in the office. With consistent adjustments your body’s threshold for stress increases. If you have been getting consistent care for the year leading up to the holiday season, you are going to be better prepared for the stress coming at you, because your body will handle the stress better.

On the flip side, if you started getting adjusted, the week leading up to Christmas your threshold for stress will not be as high. This is why consistent care matters. The more layers of stress taken off through consistent adjustments, the better you can handle the inevitable stress of the holidays. This is why quitting care when you’re feeling great usually results in symptoms returning in the future because unfortunately stress is never going away.

We love taking care of everyone and increasing those thresholds as much as we possibly can. It is truly a blessing to provide adjustments for our practice members to help keep the holiday stress at bay. After all, the best gift is the gift of health.

We are truly thankful and grateful for all your trust in us and allowing us to take care of you. We hope that your stress levels stay low and that all of you have an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year!
